Our Story.


Where we came from.
Our CEO spent the 10 years working in high performing sales teams across the UK. After starting out as a Sales Executive he worked his way to Sales & Commercial Director and VP of Sales having a 7 year career in sales leadership roles building market leading sales teams of up to 50 people in the UK & EMEA.
He worked to targets of up to £25m and specialised in strategic go-to-market sales & marketing plans, building winning, and data led cultures.
One of the greatest challenges he found as a sales leader was finding great talent and having a talent partner who authentically understood and could add true value to the recruitment process. He found common themes in every selection process such as deciding on candidate on gut feel with no data, watching assessment days that had no science behind them and were totally subjective and bias, a real lack of support with onboarding and most importantly sales never being pushed as a career of choice to the brightest talent.
He had extensive background in sales coaching and experience of hiring over 100 sales people in his time with a world leading education business. He saw an opportunity in the market to bring a new unique way of finding sales talent from entry level too exec.
He pitched James Caan CBE, former Dragon’s Den investor, and his recruitment venture capital firm, Recruitment Entrepreneur to secure funding and add their expertise to build a market leading sales talent business.
pursuit is passionate about building a talent business which drives equality and fairness into sales recruitment. From our CEO’s experience as a Sales Leader the best talent have had the soft skills needed to succeed in sales and we utilise our unique approach to test that.


Where we are today.
We now have a C Level team at pursuit with over 80 years sales leadership experience across SME to Enterprise level organisations, including roles from CEO to Sales Director. Including former Dragon’s Den investor James Caan CBE

We believe soft skills such as Ability, Personality & Culture Identity are the best predictors of job performance and have built a British Psychological Society (BPS) approved assessment to find the best entry level, elite and leadership sales talent.
Our process is focused around our unique assessments which have the ability to predict data led future job performance of candidates and person-organisation fit.
One candidate assessment generates several reports to use during the talent journey. This helps you dig deeper at an individual level and easily compare candidate scores directly.

Throughout our CEO’s career he always delivered an idiosyncratic approach to sales training. By supporting all of our entry level placements with a 4-day Sales Academy or apprenticeship and delivering Sales Training to our Elite candidates we don’t only want attract and deliver high calibre candidates but also up skill them quickly to be more successful for the businesses they join.
